dc.description.abstract | Objetivo: determinar la actividad antibacteriana in vitro de un gel elaborado con el extracto etanólico de hojas de Piper aduncum L. (Matico) frente cepas de Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 25923 y Streptococcus pyogenes ATCC 19615.
Materiales y métodos: experimental y cuantitativo; población 20 kg y muestra 3 kg de hojas de matico, se empleó 5 placas Petri inoculadas con Staphylococcus aureus y Streptococcus pyogenes. Además, se hizo uso de la marcha fitoquímica, agar en pozos en grupos al (2.5 %, 5 % y 10 %), ciprofloxacino y amoxicilina.
Resultados: se evidenció presencia de taninos, compuestos fenólicos, flavonoides, antocianinas, lactonas α, β-insaturadas, alcaloides, antraquinonas, terpenos, esteroides y saponinas. La prueba de ANOVA registró (p<0,05); además Los halos en concentraciones del (2.5 %, 5 % y 10 %) del gel de extracto de hojas de matico frente S. aureus y S. pyogenes fueron menores que ciprofloxacino 5 ug y amoxicilina 25 ug (29,96 y 26,51) mm respectivamente.
Conclusión: el gel elaborado con el extracto etanólico de hojas de Piper aduncum L. (matico) presentó actividad antibacteriana in vitro frente Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 25923 y Streptococcus pyogenes ATCC 19615. | es_PE |
dc.description.abstract | Objective: to determine the in vitro antibacterial activity of a gel prepared with the ethanolic extract of leaves of Piper aduncum L. (Matico) against strains of Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 25923 and Streptococcus pyogenes ATCC 19615.
Materials and methods: experimental and quantitative; population 20 kg and sample 3 kg of matico leaves, 5 Petri dishes inoculated with Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus pyogenes were used. In addition, phytochemical march, agar in wells in groups (2.5%, 5% and 10%), ciprofloxacin and amoxicillin were used.
Results: the presence of tannins, phenolic compounds, flavonoids, anthocyanins, α, β-unsaturated lactones, alkaloids, anthraquinones, terpenes, steroids and saponins was evident. The ANOVA test recorded (p <0.05); in addition, the halos at concentrations of (2.5%, 5% and 10%) of the matico leaf extract gel against S. aureus and S. pyogenes were lower than ciprofloxacin 5 ug and amoxicillin 25 ug (29.96 and 26.51) mm respectively.
Conclusion: the gel prepared with the ethanolic extract of Piper aduncum L. (matico) leaves presented in vitro antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 25923 and Streptococcus pyogenes ATCC 19615. | es_PE |
